The National Youth Work Indaba is a build-up towards the 2nd Commonwealth Conference in Youth Work, which South Africa will host in March 2016. The conference will build on the inaugural conference which was also hosted locally in 2013.

During the National Indaba, South Africa will consolidate its domestic position on youth work professionalisation for the 2016 conference.

National Youth Work Indaba will be held during Commonwealth Youth Work Week to identify feasible actions towards professional recognition of youth work.

The Indaba will consolidate the domestic position on professionalisation of youth work, ahead of the 2nd Commonwealth Conference in Youth Work.

The Indaba will take stock of the readiness for South Africa to host the 2nd Commonwealth Conference in Youth Work in March 2016.

The 2nd Commonwealth Conference in Youth Work will share experiences and lessons learnt, as well as advancing the professionalisation of youth work across the Commonwealth.
