The registration for set-top-boxes is gaining traction. This Saturday on the 3rd of September 2016, Minister of Communications, Ms Faith Muthambi, will lead a Broadcasting Digital Migration public awareness campaign to inform community members of Mtititi Village, LIM 345 Local Municipality, in Limpopo about the registration process for set-top-boxes (STB’s).
“We started in the Northern Cape in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) last October in the core towns of the SKA. Installations of STB’s is now at 98% in those towns, soon we will revisit the Northern Cape SKA areas to announce switch-off date. We are making progress”, said Minister Muthambi.
As part of this visit, Minister Muthambi will oversee the registration of community members qualifying to receive the Government-subsidised set-top-boxes, which will enable them to enjoy a superior television watching experience.
