The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport will on Monday, 21 November 2016, host a Colloquium on Mobility Management at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Tshwane.
The colloquium aims to bring together key role players in the province to share past experiences and lessons on mobility management in the province as well as prospects for improved mobility management policies, strategies and practices in the future.
Poor mobility management is positively correlated with increased generalised cost of transport and consequently higher cost of living and doing business.
The colloquium is one of the first conversations that will inform the provincial position paper on best practices for mobility management. Furthermore,it will be used as input for the design and implementation of an appropriate institutional model, infrastructure, systems and operations for mobility management.
