Health launches mobile application to track availability of medicines in public health facilities, 14 Jul

Mobile technology enabling the delivery of quality health care

In a move aimed at transforming the delivery of quality primary healthcare in South Africa, the Department of Health in partnership with Vodacom will launch a mobile application called Stock Visibility Solution (SVS) to track the availability of medicines in the public health facilities. This system will help prevent the occurrence of medicine stock-outs that occur at some public health facilities.

There will be live demonstration of the mobile application during the launch.
