Health Minister to lead NHI dialogue at Potchefstroom
The National Health Minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize will be accompanied by the North West Health MEC Madoda Sambatha as he engages key stakeholders in an open discussion of the National Health Insurance (NHI), with a focus on the recently gazetted NHI Bill.
The Minister will have a dialogue with various stakeholders in the health sector, as he articulates the case for NHI. This high level dialogue follows nationwide NHI campaigns to educate the citizens and business about the importance of ensuring that all people regardless of income have access to quality health care. Access to quality health care is espoused by the World Health Organization through the Universal Health Coverage approach.
The NHI dialogue is a one of the build up event to the World AIDS Day commemoration which will be held on Sunday at James Motlatsi Stadium.
