Minister Zwane to visit Impala Platinum mine for an update after rock fall accident
Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane will on Thursday, 2 June 2016 visit the Rustenburg Impala Platinum Mine, North West Province, in support of the rescue teams, and to receive an update on efforts to find Mr Ohemile Moses Maamogwa.
This follows an accident which occurred at the mine on Tuesday, 17 May 2016, when a rock fall trapped the two mineworkers underground. The other worker – Mr Tanki Samuel Lepitikoe - was unfortunately found dead, and was buried in Lesotho last week.
