Minister Zwane to launch SLP projects in Swartklip, North West Province
Mineral Resources Minister Mr. Mosenbezi Zwane (MP) will on 18 March 2016 launch Social and Labour Plan (SLP) projects by Anglo American Platinum’s Union JV Mine. The Minister will be joined by Kgosi Nyalala Pilane and Anglo American Platinum CEO Chris Griffith.
It is a prerequisite that an SLP be in place for the granting of mining or production rights, under the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA).
The projects to be launched include three agricultural facilities, a clinic, five schools and a community centre. Members of the media are invited to join the Minister as he launches the projects.
