Minister Zizi Kodwa joins South Africans in Paris to support the Springboks at the Rugby World Cup

Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Mr Zizi Kodwa is to travel to France to support the Springboks, who play the 2023 Rugby World Cup semifinal against England on Saturday, 21 October 2023.
 
The defending World Cup champions have captivated South Africans and the world’s rugby loving public. This has been evident once again after the team defeated World Cup hosts France in a memorable quarterfinal match.
 
There has also been a notable presence of South Africans in France supporting the Springboks, showcasing the South Africa’s diversity and the national unity the team inspires.
 
Minister Kodwa says, “The Springboks have been great ambassadors of South African sport. They play with distinctive toughness and grace. Off the field, they showcase the diversity and unity that makes South Africa special.”
 
The Minister adds, “I have been watching South Africans from all walks of life occupying the stands in France when the Springboks play, singing our National Anthem proudly and loudly. This is very important for our nation building. Continue flying the South African flag high. We are stronger together!”
