IMC on Women’s Day state of readiness media briefing
Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Susan Shabangu will lead a media briefing of the Inter Ministerial Committee (IMC) on the 60th Anniversary of the Women’s March.
The IMC will give an update on government’s state of readiness to host the Women’s Day celebration to be held on 9th August at the Union Buildings, South Lawns. The IMC will also share the programme of the day and events to be held post the Women’s Day commemorative event.

The department of Women encourages women to use the hashtag #TellHerStory to tell their stories as a lead up to the celebration of Women’s Day on 9 August. The 60th anniversary of the Women’s March will be held under the theme, “Women United in Moving South Africa Forward.”
