The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Dr Siyabonga Cwele will launch free public Wi-Fi at the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) on Friday, 15 April.
The launch is in partnership with the NMBM and is aimed at providing citizens with basic access to the internet to empower and develop themselves. The NMBM is on of six metropolitan municipalities that are partnering with the Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services to rollout Wi Fi.
The launch will take place at the Uitenhage Town Library.
Members of the media are invited to attend the launch.
