Minister Siyabonga Cwele briefs Parliament on progress on the implementation of the Strategic Turnaround Plan of SA Post Office, 31 Jan

The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services, Dr Siyabonga Cwele will lead The Department at the Committee meeting to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Turnaround Plan of the South African Post Office in Parliament

The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services, Dr Siyabonga Cwele will lead the department at the committee meeting to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Turnaround Plan of the South African Post Office in Parliament on 31 January 2017. The meeting will also discuss the future prospects of the SA Post Office.

The SAPO Strategic Turnaround Plan (STP) was approved by Cabinet in June 2015. The STP is aimed at modernising the SA Post Office so that it can compete more efficiently and sustainably in the postal services market and deliver more services to citizens.

Some of the areas of growth for the SA Post include parcels deliveries, providing affordable financial services to the poor in rural areas and e-Commerce.
