The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, MP together with Human Settlements MEC’s and Mayors will on Monday, 9 May 2016 announce catalytic projects to be developed in all nine provinces.
The catalytic projects will be located close to areas of economic activities. They will consist of more than 10 000 units which will cover Breaking New Ground houses, bond houses, rental accommodation and serviced sites.
The announcement follows a series of discussions and engagements with Human Settlements Social Contract signatories like Banks, developers and contractors on how to accelerate the delivery of Human Settlements towards achieving 1.5 million houses and housing opportunities by 2019.
