On Monday 11th January 2016 Minister Senzeni Zokwana met with AgriSA, AFASA and NAMC to reflect on the drought situation that the country is facing as part of his continuous engagement with all stakeholders.
The department will be meeting with Grain SA, NAMC, Transnet, and Maize Trust on 15 January 2016 in the morning to determine the country’s level of readiness for importing grains.
The Minister and stakeholders will hold a media briefing after the meeting to give an update on the Grain situation and readiness to import grains in view of drought and ensuring food security in the country.
