Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko briefs media on Programme of Action for SAPS, 24 Jan

The Minister of Police, Mr Nkosinathi Nhleko and the Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Lieutenant-General Khomotso Phahlane cordially invites the media to a briefing to communicate the Programme of Action for the South African Police Service (SAPS) for the year ahead.

The briefing will be held as follows:

Deputy Minister of Police, Maggie Sotyu, MP and the National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation Lieutenant-General Berning Ntlemeza will also address the media briefing.

The areas that will be covered include but are not limited to:

  • The implementation of the recommendations of Farlam Commission 
  • Efforts at transforming SAPS
  • The reestablishment of specialised units
  • The close-out report on the work done during the festive season
