Minister Blade Nzimande launches Skills Development Centre in North West, 4 Mar

Higher Education and Training Minister, Dr Blade Nzimande and North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo, will officially open the first of its kind skills development centre in North West. They will be accompanied by North West MEC for Public Works and Roads, Madoda Sambatha, and Services SETA Accounting Authority Chairperson, Themba Mhambi.

The launch will be held as follows:

The Services SETA has committed over R30m for various learning programmes to enable young people to access the labour market. The programme will see over 400 learners from all four districts of the province acquiring skills in, amongst others, cosmetology; hairdressing; business administration; bricklaying; plumbing and welding.  The centre will also serve as the Services SETA’s Provincial Office.
