The Minister for Water and Sanitation Ms. Nomvula Mokonyane will officially launch the Jagersfontein/Fauresmith Bulk Water Scheme, Phase One (1) on 16 September 2016 and also engage with the community of Kopanong Local Municipality.
The Kopanong Local Municipality has nine towns situated in its municipal area of jurisdiction, these being Trompsburg (Municipal Head Office), Gariep Dam, Springfontein, Bethulie, Philippolis, Jagersfontein, Fauresmith, Edenburg and Reddersburg. The Minister and her entourage will visit Kalkfontein Dam, the pipeline, boreholes and reservoir, as well as showcase the interventions done by the department based on the current drought.
