Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi hosts Youth Imbizo in Buffalo City Municipality, 1 Jun

The Minister for the Department of Public Service and Administration, Advocate Ngoako Ramatlhodi will host a Youth Imbizo in the Buffalo City Municipality ,East London in the Eastern Cape on Wed, 1 June 2016, to meet a targeted youth population of  unemployed graduates, out- of- school youth and final year students from tertiary institutions as part of the National Youth Month Imbizo programme under the theme: "Youth Moving South Africa Forward"

The purpose of the Ministerial Youth Imbizo ,as a strategic vehicle that enables government to interact, engage and encourage youths to  make the Public Service, their career of choice. The Minister will further announce envisaged interventions for young people in the Buffalo City municipality to address youth unemployment, inadequate enterprise and skills development programmes as well as lack of educational and business opportunities.

 “There are plenty of opportunities to be explored by youths in the public service at all levels of government ,National, provincial and at a local level and therefore that should make the  public service  attractive to  young people as  an employer and career of choice as an efficient and effective service delivery machinery” says Minister Ramatlhodi.

The Minister will be joined by the Provincial and local government and entities including the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), BCYC, BC-LED, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA) and Public Service Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA).

The Community of youths will also have the opportunity to receive services and engage with officials from service delivery departments that will be available on the day of the event.
