Minister Naledi Pandor hands over agricultural equipment to Hi Hanyile Essential Oils and Medicinal Plant Project, 14 Dec

Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor will officially hand over agricultural equipment worth approximately R1 million to the Hi Hanyile Essential Oils and Medicinal Plants project in Giyani, Limpopo, on Monday, 14 December 2015.

On 25 September 2015, when Minister Pandor visited the project as part of an imbizo in Giyani, she was asked by the project supervisor, Mr Sam Ngove, to assist with the acquisition of agricultural equipment so that the project could expand.

Minister Pandor promised that she would deliver the equipment before the end of the year.

The equipment to be handed over on 14 December includes the following:

  • A Massey Ferguson tractor.
  • A six-ton four-wheel trailer.
  • A 1.5m Slasher.
  • A three-row furrow maker.
  • A Massey Ferguson three-disc plough.
  • A 1.5m KvernelandRotavator.

The Minister will be accompanied by the Mayor of Greater Giyani Local Municipality, Cllr Hlungwani, the Executive Mayor of Mopani, Cllr Rakgoane, and Chief Ngove, the local traditional leader.
