Nelson Mandela Day commemoration
The Minister of the Department of Energy invites the media on the 18th of July at 8h00 to the Mandela Day 67 minutes community service. The 67 minutes is in honour of the 67 years that President Nelson Mandela dedicated to the public service fighting for social justice.
The day commemorating the late President Mandela’s birthday has been declared as a day of service and giving by the Government. Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi will participate and offer a service in Tshwane; the service is aimed at inspiring individuals to take action to help the world for the better and in so doing to build a global movement for good.
The theme for this years’ Mandela Month Commemoration is: #ActionAgianstPoverty
