Minister Mildred Oliphant engages Tshwane residents on entrepreneurial programme, 13 Oct

Labour Minister, Mildred Oliphant is expected to lead a delegation of various stakeholders on Saturday 13 October 2018, to visit and engage with the community of Mamelodi and surrounding areas to address challenges faced by the communities, and to intervene meaningfully to improve their lives.

As part of government taking services to the people,  the Minister will be accompanied by various stakeholders like the National Development Agency, SETAs, SEDA, National Empowerment Fund and National Skills Fund.

It is envisaged that through this event, a platform and entrepreneurial programme will be created for people to be provided with the necessary information and support, to be able to establish and/or finance their own businesses, cooperatives and similar projects. This will assist government in its efforts to eliminate the triple challenges of unemployment, poverty and inequality.

This engagement with Tshwane community will therefore help to assist and ensure more sustainable solutions to pertinent issues,  to resolve bottle necks as a collective government and, to better mobilise partners and stakeholders.

Members of the Media are invited to join the event at the meeting point as follows:
Date: Saturday, 13 October 2018
Venue: Mamelodi West Central Sports Centre,  6790 Dr Kubone Street, Mamelodi West Just behind HM Pitje Stadium
Time: 9h30
