MEC Nomafrench Mbombo addresses launch of National School Deworming Programme, 16 Feb

Today, the Western Cape MEC of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, alongside the Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga, and the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Joseph Phaahla, will attend the National School Deworming Programme Launch at Zimasa Primary School.  

The programme, delivered through the Integrated School Health Programme (ISHP) in collaboration with the National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP), is in line with government’s commitment to securing the wellness of our children and reducing the incidence of infections which negatively impact on their overall health, development and scholastic achievement.
