The Minister of Transport, Mr. Fikile Mbalula will on Thursday, 31 March 2022 provide an update on the deadline for the Extension of Licence Validity.
In August 2021, the Department of Transport announced the extension of learner’s licences, driving licence cards, temporary driving licences and professional driving permits for a grace period ending on 31 March 22 as part of government measures in response to lockdowns in the management of COVID-19.
The Minister will give an update on developments regarding the now approaching deadline and provide a way forward.
