International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane is scheduled to undertake a Public Participation Pragramme (PPP) on 05 February 2016 in Limpopo Province. The PPP forms part of government’s ongoing efforts to connect directly with communities in order to enable and facilitate public participation.
The Minister will visit schools and engage directly with staff and learners. Education is one of government's priorities and a considerable amount of government resources are channelled towards ensuring that provinces improve their performance and contribution towards skills development.
Minister Nkoana-Mashabane's last PPP was held in December 2015 in Winterveldt, north of Pretoria, where she donated a house to a destitute family after having witnessed their dire living conditions on a prior PPP in the area.
