The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, MP, will tomorrow, Tuesday, 22 December 2015, hand over 40 new houses to the beneficiaries at Walmer Q housing project, Nelson Mandela Metro Municipality (NMBMM), Eastern Cape.
Last month, Minister Sisulu and Executive Mayor of (NMBMM) Danny Jordaan, handed over houses at Walmer Q and promised to revisit the area and hand over more houses ahead of Christmas. This is the first human settlements project since the Cabinet approved intervention into Nelson Mandela Bay.
Accompanied by Deputy Minister of Human Settlements, Zou Kota-Fredericks and the Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Metro Municipality, Danny Jordaan, Minister Sisulu will also launch the Greening Challenge, the aim of the competition is to encourage the residents to take care of their houses and plant grass, trees and flowers.
