Minister Sisulu to deliver a keynote address at the Gauteng Infrastructure Funding Summit The Minister of Human Settlements, LN Sisulu, MP, will tomorrow, 04 May 2017, deliver a keynote address at the Gauteng Infrastructure Funding Summit.
The purpose of the summit is aimed at attracting investments towards Social Infrastructure development and maintenance for the Gauteng City Region (GCR) and Gauteng Province as a whole.
In 2014 Department of Human Settlements signed a Social Contract towards the development of sustainable human settlements which aims at mobilizing different human settlements stakeholders including private sector to partner with government towards the delivery of 1.5 million houses and opportunities by 2019.
It is hoped that the summit will among other things consolidate and align the Private and Public Partnerships towards and existing Infrastructure development and maintenance initiatives which are led by different players in the Province.
The summit is organised by the Gauteng Government led by Premier, Mr David Makhura, and Gauteng MEC of Human Settlements, Mr Paul Mashatile.
