Transport Minister visits Nancefield Station
Transport Minister, Mr Joe Maswanganyi will visit the Nancefield Train Station on Friday, 18 August 2017 where a civilian and a security guard were shot and killed in separate incidents in July this year.
Minister Maswanganyi will be briefed on the incidents and other issues pertaining to commuter services at the station. Mr Maswanganyi will also engage with commuters and local community leadership to learn about challenges they have been facing since the service was disrupted at the train station.
The Minister will also be briefed about rail developments in that part of the Johannesburg Vereeniging via Midway Corridor.
Following his visit and site inspection, Mr Maswanganyi will brief the media about issues concerning the Nancefield Train Station and the Johannesburg Vereeniging via Midway Corridor development.
