The Minister in the Presidency for Planning Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Jeff Radebe will be visiting Meadowlands zone 10, Soweto to conduct a youth dialogue on the National Development Plan with an emphasis on the challenges facing young women.
The dialogue is held against the backdrop of the Youth Month, which takes place annually in South Africa to commemorate the June 16 uprising.
South Africa has an estimated 60% of the population which is young people facing various socio- economic challenges. Programmes of Youth Month are coordinated to serve the youth with an opportunity to raise their views in relation to their development and socio-economic challenges
The Minister will also utilise this platform to thank those individuals who have played pivotal role in contributing to youth development and encourages others to do the same.
