Minister Jeff Radebe hosts dialogue on government interventions to achieve economic opportunities for entrepreneurs, 6 Sept

The Minister is the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Jeff Radebe will host a dialogue on how government strives to unlock business opportunities for entrepreneurs through interventions implemented to fast-track the payment of suppliers (or service providers) by government within the stipulated 30-days period.

This is in line with the core priorities of the National Development Plan (NDP) to reduce poverty, unemployment and inequality. The NDP states that in order to enable an economy that will create jobs and inclusive growth there must be, amongst others, “support for small businesses through better coordination of relevant agencies, development finance institutions, and public and private incubators.

The event will also serve as an opportunity for the Minister to make an appeal to the private sector to commit itself, working side by side with organized labour and government, to realise the objectives of the NDP Vision 2030 and by extension the various values of a better life for all as enshrined in the Constitution.

The public will also be mobilised to define their ideal South Africa and to play a pivotal role in assisting government towards achieving vision 2030.
