Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa to deliver a keynote address at the Bontle ke Botho campaign re-launch

The Minister of Environmental Affairs Mrs Edna Molewa, will deliver a key note address at the re-launch of the Bontle ke Botho (BkB) campaign in Sankopano (Alexandra Stadium) on Sunday 31 January 2016. BkB is the Gauteng Provincial Government’s clean and green campaign that addresses littering, waste management and greening issues in the province.

The BkB campaign was initially launched after the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in 2002 as a social mobilisation programme and provincial strategy to heighten environmental awareness. It also aimed to encourage sustainable environmental actions in communities to ensure environmental protection for the benefit of the present and future generations.

Minister Molewa will be joined by Gauteng Premier David Makhura, Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Agriculture, Environment & Rural Development, Lebogang Maile and Executive Mayor of the City of Joburg, Councillor Parks Tau.
