Minister Dipuo Peters visits driving license testing centre as part of Imbizo Focus Week, 7 Apr

The Minister of Transport Ms Dipuo Peters, will visit a number of projects undertaken by the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) on Tuesday, 7 April 2015.

The Minister’s visit is part of government’s national imbizo focus week, whose intention is to assess progress on key projects and to facilitate direct, unmediated and interactive communication between government and the public.

The programme with PRASA will be preceded by an unannounced visit by the Minister to the Springs Driving License Testing Centre (DLTC) at 09h00. Minister Peters will assess the quality of services rendered at the DLTC and interact with staff and members of the public.

The Minister’s visit will be followed by a walkabout and interaction with commuters at Germiston Station in Ekurhuleni, followed by a train trip to Park Station and she will then travel to the Gauteng Nerve Centre next to Kaalfontein Station.

Germiston Station is one of PRASA’s stations which is undergoing massive improvement in preparation for the arrival of the brand-new Metrorail trains.
