Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology to address the PWC 26th Annual Higher Education Conference in Cape Town

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande, will address the 26th annual Higher Education Conference of the Price Water House Coopers (PWC) which is held under the “Making a difference, by changing minds in a changing world”.

The education, science and innovation sector remains critical to transform our economy and growth in South Africa. It is against this backdrop of significant digital technological disruption and a plethora of headwinds facing the sector that the Minister Nzimande will unveil some of the critical interventions that the department of Higher Education, Science and Technology is putting in place in response for the Fourth Industrial Revolution interruptions, particularly in preparing the youth for the work of tomorrow.

“Post School Education and Training curriculum remains critical if as a country we are go grow our economy and for us to meet the National Development Plans objectives, said Minister Nzimande.

In view of the dark period in our country were women are abused and murdered by their loves ones and strangers, Minister Nzimande will further give details of the Department’s plans to respond to Gender Based Violence in Post School Education and Training Institutions.

The conference will also be attended by delegates from across the education fraternity, mainly public universities, TVET Colleges, government representative, research institutions, and private sector schools.
