The Minister of Social Development, Bathabile Dlamini, will today, Wednesday, June 07, table Social Development Budget Vote Speech to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) at the Old Assembly Chamber in Parliament, Cape Town.
National Council of Provinces is the second house of Parliament with provincial representatives and is responsible for ensuring that the needs for each province are met.
During the NCOP proceedings, Government departments are afforded an opportunity to highlight their previous financial year achievements at provincial level and further outline plans for the current financial cycle. It is against this backdrop that Minister Dlamini will announce Social Development plans to the NCOP.
These plans will help improve the living conditions of South Africans, especially, the poor and vulnerable communities.
