DBE Education Excellence Awards recognise the Nation’s Best Education Districts
The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga will on Friday 7 April 2017 recognise, acknowledge and salute the contribution of education districts at the 2017 National Education Excellence Awards which will be hosted in Menlyn, Pretoria.
The department has been recognising and celebrating districts that have shown consistent improvement or maintained excellent performance across all levels of the system since the first awards ceremony held on 3 April 2014 in Pretoria.
The District Awards are also aimed at complementing the National Teaching Awards and celebrate district excellence in areas focused on improving the quality of learning outcomes.
