Minister Angie Motshekga hosts Mandela Day activities at Mvezo, 18 Jul

School opening postponed but Mandela Day activities continue in Mvezo
 

The opening of the Makgatho Lewanika Primary School in Mvezo, in the Eastern Cape which was scheduled to take place on the 18th of July 2015 as part of honouring the Nelson Mandela International Day (Mandela Day) has been postponed to 25 August.

The plans for Mandela Day activities which include reinforcing the existing parameter fence, cleaning campaign and planting of 67 Umkhanyakude trees at the school will proceed as planned.

President Jacob Zuma will be represented by the Minister of Basic Education, Ms Angie Motshekga at the Mandela Day celebrations.
