Media briefing on e-visa, Border Management Authority and facilitation of traveller movement
The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, will host a media briefing on South Africa’s e-Visa system, the Border Management Authority (BMA) and facilitation of traveller movement at ports of entry. The objective of the briefing is to announce the pilot process of the electronic visa application system and its roll-out.
Minister Motsoaledi, with acting DG Thulani Mavuso, will also outline the next steps on the establishment of a Border Management Authority. The briefing will further provide an update on the implementation of plans announced on the facilitation of traveller movement at ports of entry between 4 December 2019 and 13 January 2020.
