Members of the media wishing to cover the Armed Forces Day are advised to ensure that they are accredited to access the venue.
Accreditation Centre is open at Regiment Piet Retief located on Lodge Road from Friday, 19 February 2016 until Saturday 20 February from 08:00 to 16:00. Gauteng-based media can collect their accreditation cards at Waterkloof Airforce Base, Pretoria before 16h00 today.

In 2012, the President of the Republic of South Africa (RSA) and Commander-in-Chief of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) proclaimed that 21 February will be observed and commemorated as Armed Forces Day.
Armed Forces Day is a day on which the South African population honours men and women of the South African National Defence Force by affirming its support and gratitude to them for upholding the Constitution of the Republic and defending the territorial integrity of the Republic and protecting its people.
