Colleagues, as the year 2015 draws to a close, I would like to pay a word of gratitude to all of you as a collective, for the phenomenal work that you have done to ensure that the government delivers on its mandate of creating a better life for all the people of our province. Your dedication to your work has seen us recorded meaningful successes this year, however more work awaits us all of us in 2016.
For now I urge you to put your feet up and enjoy a much deserved break with your family and friends. I am quite certain that all of you are aware that the economic climate is not conducive to reckless spending. Tough times lie ahead, as such we encourage you to spend wisely during this festive season.
There are a lot of activities that are happening during this time including traditional ceremonies, weddings and music festivals. Those who will be indulging in alcohol beverages, should do so responsibly, as we all know the consequences of excessive drinking. We would not like to hear any bad news about losing any of our employees during this festive season.
To those who will be on the road, drive safely and I wish to see all of you healthy and refreshed in 2016. The work of creating a better life for all our people still requires your skills.
