MEC Sikhumbuzo Kholwane visits Thaba Chweu schools to assess state of readiness, 13 Jan

MEC Sikhumbuzo Kholwane will on Wednesday, 13 January 2016 visit Estralita Special School in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality to assess the state of readiness for the new academic year.

The visit by the MEC forms part of the Province-wide outreach that the Members of the Executive will undertake to give morale support to the educators and learners as they begin the new year of schooling.

Thaba Chweu Municipality is one of the Districts that performed very well in the recently announced matriculation results for 2015.

MEC Kholwane is expected to hold brief talks with the school management teams as he assess among others academic preparedness, availability of stationery amongst others.

The three day back to school monitoring programme will include a visit to Memezile Secondary school in Sabie on Thursday, 14 January 2016 and conclude with MEC’s address to learners of the Marambane Primary school on Friday, 15 January 2016.

All the activities will commence at 07:00 and end at 08h00 to enable learning to take place at the usual school’s time.
