Northern Cape to host Provincial Crime Prevention Strategy Summit
The Northern Cape MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison, Ms Pauline Williams will host a two day review Summit on the Provincial Crime Prevention Strategy. MEC will be joined by the Premier of the Northern Cape, Ms Sylvia Lucas who will deliver the keynote address and SAPS Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen. Risimati Peter Shivuri.
The Provincial Crime Prevention Strategy 2012-2015 was launched on 12 September 2013 in Batlharos, John Taolo Gaetsewe District.
The strategy aims to reduce crime and to focus on the broader scope of community safety in order to improve the quality of life in South Africa with specific focus on the Northern Cape.
