MEC Nomafrench Mbombo celebrates International Midwifery Day, 3 May

Tomorrow, the Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, will attend the International Midwifery Day celebrations which will take place at the University of Stellenbosch’s Nursing Division, Tygerberg Campus.

The event will take place under the theme of ‘Women and New-borns: The heart of midwifery’

The event commemorates the unique position of midwives in providing quality perinatal healthcare services to women and children here in the Western Cape and elsewhere and will be attended by some 450 delegates from around the province.

Time: 8h00 to 12h45
Venue: Stellenbosch University, Nursing Division, Tygerberg Campus.

The programme begins at 8h00 am and Minister Mbombo will address delegates at approximately 11:45 am. There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
