MEC Nomafrench Mbombo briefs media on Tygerberg Academic Hospital’s Smile Week, 8 Nov

A massive 43 paediatric surgeries scheduled for Tygerberg Academic Hospital

Tomorrow, 8 November 2016, the Western Cape MEC of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, alongside the Smile Foundation and the Vodacom Foundation, will brief the media on Tygerberg Academic Hospital’s Smile Week.

The Smile Foundation’s Smile Week, a recognised national surgical initiative, has grown beyond just providing reconstructive surgery for facial anomalies; today it also provides highly specialised surgical interventions, for a range of conditions affecting other areas of the body, and to a steadily growing number of children in need.

Thanks to the kind sponsorship of the Vodacom Foundation, between the 7 – 11 November 2016, 43 children will undergo reconstructive surgery at the Tygerberg Hospital.

Details of the briefing are as follows:
Date: 8 November 2016
Time: 10h00 - 11h00
Venue: Tygerberg Hospital, Admin Building (West Side).
