As part of the tourism month activities, the North West MEC for Tourism Desbo Mohono will this Friday, 9 September 2016 at the Herman Bosman Museum in Groot Marico at 9h00 take tourism to the people through her new initiative dubbed “Tourism Fridays – Wake Up with the MEC” which is an interactive live show where the MEC will give out first-hand information on various activities which will be taking place during the tourism month.
This platform will also be used to unleash some of the province’s hidden gems with the intention of ensuring that there is adequate exposure for less popular tourism attractions during the tourism month.
The department and its tourism authority will furthermore, use this as a pedestal for the advancement of tourism business in line with this year’s tourism month theme which is Tourism for All: Promoting Universal Accessibility and also ensure the promotion of Villages, Townships and Small Dorpies (VTSD).
