North West, MEC for Tourism, Desbo Mohono will deliver her departmental budget speech at the North West provincial legislature on Tuesday. The MEC is expected to reflect on her departmental achievements and challenges in the past financial year and further outline the new department’s policy commitments for this financial year. This will be the third budget speech for standalone Department of Tourism.
MEC Desbo Mohono, is further expected to outline the new matching orders which are in line with the five provincial concretes namely: Setsokotsane, ACT, Renewal Healing and Reconciliation, VTSD and Saamtrek Saamwerk.
MEC Mohono will also announce on the three approved strategies by her department that are intended at growing tourism within the province. The three strategies are aimed at promoting the province and making it a preferred tourist destination.
MEC Mohono will summarize plans to promote the A Re Yeng Bokone Bophirima Brand Property. The Media is invited to be part of budget vote presentation which will take place as follows:
