Gauteng MEC for Health, Qedani Mahlangu will on Monday, 13 June 2016, deliver a key note address at the opening of GE 10th Innovation Centre at Melrose Estate in Johannesburg.
The centre dedicated to learning, exploration and invention will become GE’s regional hub for innovation and technology transfer to address Africa’s challenges. The centre will also be a hub to accelerate supplier development in South Africa.
The Vscan Pocket Ultrasound is one of African inspired innovations that will be available at the centre .The Vscan is a revolutionary technology in healthcare that has contributed to increasing access to quality and affordable healthcare to rural communities across Africa. This has positively impacted in particular maternal health in Africa.
