The MEC to convene a meeting with Representative Council Learners

The MEC for Education will on 9 June 2016 Convene a meeting with the Representative Council of Learners (RCL’s) at Ehlanzeni and Nkangala Districts.

The meeting will be conducted in two sessions; the first session will start at 9h00, at John Mdluli Primary School, Ehlanzeni District.

The second session will then follow at 14h30 where the MEC will meet the RCLs from Nkangala District at the Roma Catholic Church, Emalahleni.

At these meetings, the MEC will deliver a keynote address on matters relating to the roles and responsibilities of RCL’s, look at an approach to avoid the disruption of schools, outline the 2016 Schools Intervention programmes and the set targets for 2016, the plans to improve the intake and pass rate in Mathematics and physical science as well as preparations for the 2017 School year.
