Mandela Day: Minister Fritz helps Grandwest and Rise Against Hunger compile 150 000 meal packs
The Western Cape Minister of Social Development, Albert Fritz, commemorated Mandela Day by joining the Grandwest CSI team at the Rise Against Hunger charity event.
The event saw just over 1200 volunteers from business, corporates, civil society and the public, compile and sort 151 000 meal packages for humanitarian aid.
Along with the volunteers, Minister Fritz was joined by Mr. Mervyn Naidoo from the Grandwest Casino, and Mr Ameen Isaacs from NGO Rise Against Hunger, who all gave their 67 minutes of service in honour of Madiba’s legacy.
