Premier Stanley Mathabatha hands over house to Komane family, 11 Mar

Limpopo Government respond to destitute family’s plight at Finale village

Ms. Francina Getrude Komane is a vulnerable woman aged 56 and has been living in a tent after her one room makeshift mud house was burned down in January 2016.  She stays with her two daughters Lindiwe Komane and Precious Komane aged 11 and 13 years respectively.

Their living conditions were not up to standard as they did not own any furniture and all cooking utensils are on the floor and their clothes are packed inside plastic bags. This also poses a health risk to the entire family as they are likely to pick-up all sorts of gems that can lead to various diseases.

Limpopo Government through the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA) managed to build a house for the Komane family. Her family will now breathe a sigh of relief as they will sleep comfortably in a proper structure.

The Premier of Limpopo, Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will be joined by MEC for CoGHSTA, Makoma Makhurupetje to officially handover a house to the family.
