Limpopo Education rolls out Fundza Lushaka bursary scheme recruitment campaign, 12 to 26 May

Are you a matriculant who is struggling to get to tertiary education? Are you writing grade 12 this year? Then join the Funza Lushaka Sessions from next week. Funza Lushaka is a bursary scheme that aims to resuscitate The Teaching Profession. The Department is targeting teachers who will be in need in the next 4-5 years, we are planning ahead to have skilled and qualified teachers who will replace teachers who are going on retirement or those who will resign.

The aim of the District Based recruitment is to recruit prospective applicants based on the Provincial need. The Department is targeting the current grade12’s and leaners who are sitting at home not able to access tertiary education.

The requirement for this bursary scheme is a matric pass with a bachelor because teaching is only offered at Universities. The Funza Lushaka Bursary covers:

  • Tuition fee
  • Accommodation and meals
  • Books and
  • Living allowance
