Limpopo Education celebrates Heritage Day in style, 29 Sept

The Nation that does not have culture is lost. This statement encourages employees of Limpopo Education to also celebrate their heritage. The celebration is aimed at reminding the employees “their roots”

Heritage is described as property that is or may be inherited. These refer to valuable things such as historic material passed from one generation to the other. Africans enjoy their languages, traditional attires and culture which are worthy of preservations.

From the beginning of September, employees were introduced traditional attire, culture and food through the internal communication channel. These included attire by Vhavenda, Bapedi, VaTsonga, Ndebele, Swati and Setswana to mention a few. Some workers are seen wearing traditional attire to work.

The department has arranged a Heritage Day celebration for all employees in Polokwane to take plave as follows:
Venue: Head office, 113 Biccard Street, Polokwane
Date: 29 September 2016
Time: 13h00 – 15h00

Employees have been requested to bring along their traditional food for display and to wear traditional colours. Employees at districts were encouraged to have their separate events at respective districts.
