Limpopo Provincial Government to Convene a Special Provincial Intergovernmental Forum

Limpopo Provincial Government will host the Special Premiers Intergovernmental Forum (SPIGF) to address some of the challenges identified in the 2015/2016 Municipal Audit Outcomes and agree on tangible steps to move towards improving the Provincial audit outlook.  The Forum is also designed to discuss, asses the performance of municipalities and track to progress since the last SPIGF.

The SPIGF will be attended by Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, Members of the Executive Council (MECs), Local Mayors, the Director General of the Limpopo Provincial government, Mr Nape Nchabeleng and Heads of Departments of the entire Provincial Administration, including Municipal Managers of all district and local Municipalities.  

The SPIGF will also create a platform to address issues that includes, but are not limited to: state of service delivery in the province, 2015/2016 Municipal Audit Outcomes and the new methodology on Municipal Audits and the challenges faced by the municipalities. Provincial Treasury MEC, Rob Tooley will present on the Municipal support programmes to help improve future Audit Outcomes in the Province. The last SPIGF was held on the 15 March 2016.
